Power Rankings: Spa
The 2026 Logitech G V8PRO Invitational now has 2 rounds completed. We are only one day away from hitting the track at Circuit de-Spa Francorchamps, so let's take a look at where the field stands going into Round 3.
#10 - Joshua Anderson
It has been a rough start to the season for Anderson in 2026. Only 1 Top-10 finish through the first 3 races, that being 9th at Sebring. Road Atlanta was a shocker, getting taken out by Woods in the feature race, ending with 0 points and tumbling down the standings. Anderson will need to put on a strong drive Wednesday to keep his spot on this list. The #36 will start from the rear, due to his ROG for escaping without permission. Maybe the weather can play in his favour.
#9 - Emily Jones
Emily has been such a good surprise so far this year. Extremely consistent and collecting a P4 in the Road Atlanta feature race is definitely the highpoint so far. The ultimate pace is still likely not there to contend further, but sitting 4th in points cannot be ignored and because of that, she makes her way onto this list.
#8 - Madison Down
After the horror show that was Sebring, it was all eyes forward for Madison at Road Atlanta and he delivered. 2nd in race 1, taking advantage of the Rattray-White mistake, and 6th in race 2, collecting the points. It’s going to be a hard road back into any sort of contention this season for the #77, but with how many contenders have already had bogey races, everything is still to play for moving forward.
#7 - Luke Rosella
Luke drops 1 spot this week due to some outstanding performances from others, but there wasn't much that went wrong for him at Road Atlanta. P17 in the feature was definitely a miss, but in comparison to previous seasons, there isn’t too much to worry about for the #55. As the calendar now shifts to more open circuits where longer lap times come into play, I think Rosella will be able to capitalize on the superior speed of the LOBS Esports cars. More podiums are definitely on the cards moving forward for Luke.
#6 - Zach Rattray-White
Following P5 at Sebring, Zach failed to capitalize on his superior speed at Road Atlanta. Pole position in race 1 but couldn’t convert the win, losing out to Filsell and dropping to P4 on the last lap. The feature race was a similar story, didn’t qualify as well but battled his way to the front and was in contention following the final restart. Coming off second best in a wrestling match with Filsell and following penalties, ending his night 28th. The speed is there and credit in the bank from last year's performances help him stay on this list. Regardless, a big result is needed come Wednesday night at Spa.
#5 - Ryan O’Sullivan
Ryan has definitely been the surprise of the season in my opinion. Having been out of the competitive scene for some time and only joining Eclipse Simsports shortly before the season, I think expectations were similar to that of other rookies, but he has blown all of that away. Currently sitting P3 in the standings, with two 7th place finishes, then claiming pole position and finishing 3rd in the feature race at Road Atlanta, he is absolutely deserving of this spot on the power rankings. If he can maintain this consistency there is no reason why he can’t contend for a Top-3 championship result, with many others already failing around him.
#4 - Robbie Gibbs
Another new entry for this week is The Chiefs Esports Club driver, Robbie Gibbs. Robbie has been in the V8PRO Invitational in years prior and has been seen as someone to watch out for, but he has risen to another level in 2026. P6 at Sebring, not far behind his leading teammate James Scott, then walking away from Road Atlanta with 2 podiums. It has been consistency and execution for Gibbs so far and the confidence must be growing for the #31. If he can keep this up, he is a championship contender for sure.
#3 - James Scott
Road Atlanta was a bit of an off round for Scott in my eyes. Finishes of 6th and 10th, obviously nothing to worry about, but just didn’t quite have the speed of the front runners. I think when it really comes down to it, he is the more likely challenger for a championship, between himself and teammate Gibbs, but Gibbs is making a very strong case 2 rounds into the season. A return to the podium this week must be the goal for Scott.
#2 - Jarrad Filsell
He extended his winning streak to 8 races at Road Atlanta but that was soon ended following his clash with Zach Rattray-White. He applied the pressure and showed his class to come out on top in race 1, probably just got caught in the moment in his battle with the #17 in race 2, finishing a lowly 23rd. Having now conceded the championship lead to his closest teammate, a bounce back is required at Spa for Jarrad.
#1 - Andrew Gilliam
Qualifying was not his friend at Road Atlanta last time out, but Gilliam capitalized on the opportunities in front of him and emerged with the championship lead heading into round 3. Throughout a season there are always moments that end up defining the championship, and the feature race at Road Atlanta is definitely one of those. Jarrad had the win in his hands and whatever way you slice it, he let it slip away. If Andrew wants to seriously contend, he needs to make the most of his momentum and back it up with another win at Spa. In my opinion, this is the closest he's been to actually challenging Jarrad, and he needs to keep the pressure on over the next few races to give himself a chance.
